Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Part Time

Job Summary and Qualifications

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – Part Time, 3 days per week, approximately 7-8 call shifts per month, 30 minute call time required.

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients about various health conditions, and provide emotional support. RNs use independent judgment and administer medications per physician direction.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Administer medications and IV conscious sedation under physician's direction.
• Scrub and assist physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies.
• Provide accurate and timely nursing documentation in Medi Tech and Camtronics.
• Record, monitor, and demonstrate understanding of hemodynamic measurements and valve areas.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must have ACLS or complete ACLS training within six months of hire.
• Prior Cath Lab experience preferred.
• One year of RN critical care experience required.
