Premier Health is providing a comprehensive education and training system (Residency program) to new nurse graduates. It is specifically designed to transition newly graduated Registered Nurses from students to safe, competent, and professional practitioners. The residency program provides a highly integrated and systematic approach to integrating new nurses into their practice. This program provides precepting, education and curriculum, a supportive component composed of formal mentoring and debriefing/self‑care sessions, and a 360‑degree evaluation and measurement process.
This program requires a commitment from the organization to the new nurse graduate and vice versa (see Qualification section below). Employees hired into this program are paid as a newly experienced nurse and are hired into a specific unit of interest. The program is correlated to the specific unit of hire.
