Quality Technician

The Quality Technician monitors product quality along the assembly line by performing regular tests, measurements, and inspections, and by accurately documenting all results to ensure that established quality standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities
  • Perform constant testing and inspection of products at multiple stages along the assembly line to ensure they meet defined quality standards.
  • Review each process regularly on the line and verify that procedures are followed and specifications are met.
  • Use precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to take accurate measurements of components and finished products.
  • Document inspection results clearly and accurately using Microsoft Excel and other required systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards and assist in determining appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inspections, measurements, and test results.
  • Collaborate with production team members to ensure quality issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Follow all established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines while working on the assembly line.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience performing inspection and quality checks in a production or assembly environment.
  • Proficiency using micrometers and calipers to perform accurate measurements.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel for recording and tracking inspection data and measurements.
  • Experience with documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and basic quality control practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to verify product specifications.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes along an assembly line.
  • Experience working with PLEX or similar manufacturing/quality software systems.

  • Experience using PLEX software for quality or production tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and stay focused on repetitive inspection tasks.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with production and quality team members.
  • Comfort working on different shifts as needed (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).

Environment

The work environment is climate controlled and maintained at a comfortable temperature throughout the year. The role is based on a structured shift schedule with one opening on each shift: 1st shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, 2nd shift runs from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift runs from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM Monday through Friday.

Work takes place along an assembly line, using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and computer systems including Microsoft Excel and PLEX. The environment supports consistent, steady work with clear expectations and processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42099.00 - $44907.00/yr. 401K Medical Dental Vision Short Term and Long Term Disability Eligible for benefits after 30 days of employment
