Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist supports the Facilities Department by assisting with the organization, tracking, and maintenance of inventory records. This part-time, entry-level position helps ensure supplies and materials are accurately recorded and available to support campus operations. The role requires strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Assist with maintaining and updating inventory records for accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock.
- Support inventory counts and assist with physical audits as needed.
- Coordinate with Facilities staff and purchasing on inventory flow.
- Organize storage areas and rotate supplies properly.
- Identify damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
- Enter and review inventory data for reporting purposes.
- Follow established procedures for inventory control and loss prevention.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to learn inventory systems and procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- Dependable and able to follow instructions.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
- Assigned as needed by supervisor
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- No prior inventory experience required; training will be provided.
- Clerical, warehouse, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

Working Conditions- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during inventory counts.
- Must navigate campus and reach items high and low.
