Responsibilities
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Lead Team Member helps maintain a clean, organized store and fosters a customer-first culture through exceptional store standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating registers, stocking, cleaning, and supporting the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. They perform duties of a Team Member and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment
- Assist in merchandising and creating attractive displays
- Perform daily cleaning and reset standards
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Operate cash register and assist customers, including self-checkout
- Clean the store and set up displays
- Open and close the store as directed
- Perform additional duties as needed in leadership absence
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies
- Ability to follow planograms and presentation guides
- Mathematical skills for transactions
- Cash handling knowledge
Work Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory or related experience preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and kneeling
- Handling merchandise and equipment
- Lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Climbing, driving, exposure to weather, scents, and cleaning solutions
