Responsibilities

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Lead Team Member helps maintain a clean, organized store and fosters a customer-first culture through exceptional store standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating registers, stocking, cleaning, and supporting the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. They perform duties of a Team Member and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations
• Model product knowledge and selling techniques
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment
• Assist in merchandising and creating attractive displays
• Perform daily cleaning and reset standards
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Operate cash register and assist customers, including self-checkout
• Clean the store and set up displays
• Open and close the store as directed
• Perform additional duties as needed in leadership absence

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of safety policies
• Ability to follow planograms and presentation guides
• Mathematical skills for transactions
• Cash handling knowledge

Work Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory or related experience preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and kneeling
• Handling merchandise and equipment
• Lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally
• Climbing, driving, exposure to weather, scents, and cleaning solutions
