Eligibility requirements vary by position.
- Responsible for the supervision of the receiving department.
- Ensure the receipt and disposition of merchandise and inventory, including processing paperwork, verifying merchandise, comparing receipts against purchase orders, and checking for damaged products or concealed shortages.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed within the department.
- Lead with business acumen: exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision-making using business data; lead through change; model leadership competencies.
- Communicate effectively: provide information teams require to be successful; build high-performing teams; drive results with clear expectations, follow-up and accountability.
- Coach and develop: teach and lead through club-level training; support employee engagement and compliance; promote inclusion and collaboration.
- Customer/member service: ensure service excellence and a safe, positive environment for members and team members.
- Operational excellence: maintain and monitor club standards (GOLD: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate; GOLD club standards; signage; cleanliness) and align operations with financial targets.
- Know the business: develop a deep knowledge of key metrics and reporting; identify trends and opportunities; address process breakdowns proactively.
- Team leadership: manage daily operations, performance, and safety within the receiving department; coordinate with Logistics on deliveries; oversee door security and dock procedures.
- Compliance and safety: ensure safety equipment is functioning and receiving areas are secure; verify paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments; supervise forklift operations and receiving staff.
- Other duties: perform related duties as assigned and may work in other departments as needed; maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Forklift operator required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a big-box receiving environment preferred.
- Computer skills preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Moving about on hard surfaces; willingness to bend, climb, crawl, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and more than 30 pounds with assistance.
- Exposure to a loud environment with moving machinery; may require shouting to communicate.
- Occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
