• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism and following post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with onsite personnel, visitors, and/or public officials while supporting emergency communications, reporting needs, and other location-specific responsibilities.

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
