Diesel Mechanic – 2nd Shift (Frankfort KY)
Overview

Republic is seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations.

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Conduct inspections to identify safety and mechanical issues
• Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
• Experience using diagnostic tools and shop equipment
• Ability to work 2nd shift reliably
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, if applicable)

• Fleet maintenance experience
• Welding or fabrication experience
• ASE certifications
• Experience with refuse trucks or similar heavy-duty equipment

This is a permanent position based out of Frankfort, KY.
