Role Overview

Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (Frankfort, IN) – works primarily on machinery and troubleshooting on production lines in an innovative, team‑oriented environment. Shift hours:
Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–10:30pm. Training on 1st shift (maximum 6 months) is required.

Responsibilities
  • Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for machines and buildings (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping).
  • Troubleshoot electrical AC/DC circuits using metering equipment, and work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Operate shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders, and more.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs for assigned areas, buildings, and grounds.
  • Repair production equipment with minimal interruption, installing and relocating equipment as needed.
  • Manage maintenance inventory through a computerized system.
  • Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test, and adjust equipment of all types for safe and proper operation.
  • Notify the Maintenance Systems Administrator of malfunctioning equipment or machine deficiencies.
  • Provide constructive feedback for corrective action plans to improve equipment reliability.
  • Comply with DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Use designated personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Read blueprints and schematics, and understand PLC concepts.
  • Knowledge of industrial electric symbols, line diagrams, control logic diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters, and motor controllers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.
  • Consistently high quality in work habits and accurate record keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Plan, implement, and finalize assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental operations and safety procedures.
  • Hands‑on troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude.
  • Understand refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation equipment, pumps, valves, and their application.
  • Effective communication with all plant employees and a team‑oriented work style.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay: $32.96 – $41.20, depending on experience and qualifications. Shift differential: $1 for 2nd/3rd shift. Overtime eligible per state and federal regulations.
