Job TitleFull‑Time Lifestyle Assistant (Activities Assistant)
ScheduleFull‑Time (Weekdays, every other weekend required)
Key Responsibilities- Support the Lifestyle Director in planning and leading resident activities and engagement programs.
- Assist with daily activities in Senior Living, including games, crafts, music, fitness, and social events.
- Encourage resident participation and foster meaningful connections.
- Help coordinate special events, celebrations, and community outings.
- Prepare activity materials and maintain organized activity spaces.
- Provide one‑on‑one and group engagement for residents.
- Assist with documentation, activity calendars, and program set‑up.
- Assist in conducting and coordinating scheduled activities seven days a week.
- Assist in preparing the monthly Lifestyle calendar, posting and distributing it to residents.
- Facilitate and support monthly resident council meetings and other resident meetings as directed.
- Assist in contacting community groups and volunteers to perform specific activities.
- Assist in scheduling transportation for residents and be prepared to drive property vehicles as needed.
- Assess residents’ social and lifestyle activity preferences.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older (21 to drive the company bus).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the state where the vehicle is operated.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, organized, and team‑oriented.
- Passion for working with older adults in a Senior Living or Assisted Living environment.
- Must have high energy/enthusiasm, decision‑making, problem‑solving, planning/organization, and rapport‑building skills.
- Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
- Must have an acceptable DMV record; the record must be checked annually.
- Community is a drug‑free workplace; associates subject to adherence to Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
- Experience in Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Activities Assistant, Recreation, Childcare, or Event Planning.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Creative, energetic, and comfortable leading small groups.
- Minimum one year of related experience at an independent living, assisted living, or senior nursing facility.
- Appropriate CDL license preferred.
