As a Software Engineer on the Foundations, Settlements and Transfers team, you will be at the core of Coinbase's financial infrastructure, ensuring the seamless and secure movement of funds. This team is responsible for processing transactions across fiat, crypto, and internal ledgers, and managing assets for our clients. You will lead the technical direction and mentorship for a team of engineers, playing a critical role in building and scaling the next generation of our financial systems.

• Design and implement new financing products and features
• Create and build new reporting, monitoring, tools, frameworks and APIs
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into tangible deliverables every quarter
• Improve developer, engineering, and operational excellence
• Provide support to operations and other engineering teams

• You have at least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.

You’ve designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service‑oriented architecture.

You write high quality, well‑tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.

• You’ve worked with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, Mongo
  
  DB or Redshift.
• You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems.
• You have experience with blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc).

Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full‑time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

$152,405 — $179,300 USD
