Sr. Gen AI Developer

As a Sr. Gen AI developer you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced solutions using cutting‑edge technologies such as Llama Semantic Search Vector DB and Large Language Models. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s technological capabilities contributing to innovative projects that drive societal impact. This role requires a deep understanding of prompt engineering and Langchain ensuring seamless integration and optimization of systems.

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

• 6+ years of development and architectural experience.
• Expertise in Python programming with a good understanding of other modern programming languages (Java, C#).
• Experience in developing full‑stack applications using React.js and Typescript.
• Experience in building applications using REST API architecture, including authentication flows, encryption, and observability.
• Experience in building and deploying GenAI, Agentic AI applications using MCP, Lang Chain, Lang Graph, or AWS Bedrock.
• Proficiency in Git Hub Copilot for accelerated development and understanding of Copilot Studio.
• Fundamental understanding of AI/ML models and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.

• Must have strong Python programming skills.
• Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bridge, SQS & SNS, Textract, and AWS Bedrock, with Bedrock Knowledge Bases and Bedrock Agents.
• Experience in Prompt Engineering is required.
• Must have experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet v2.
• Understanding of Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
