Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements Previous sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience required Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment Basic warehouse, packing, sorting, and inventory experience preferred
Job Duties Operate sit-down and stand-up electric forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse Pick, repack, label, and prepare parts and raw materials for production Use RF scanners to track inventory and fulfill orders accurately Perform sorting, packing, and cycle counting duties as needed Complete daily paperwork and maintain inventory records Participate in 5S activities and warehouse organization efforts Assist with internal and external audits Follow forklift, pedestrian, and warehouse safety procedures at all times Lift, move, and store materials safely throughout the facility Maintain a clean and organized work environment Support recycling initiatives and ISO
14001 environmental guidelines Assist with physical inventories and continuous improvement projects Help support increased shipping and receiving activity during peak production periods
Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial. Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a material handler.
Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment. Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
