About the Role
Join a leading medical device organization as a Tech 1, Product Development Engineering. In this hands-on contractor role, you will support the innovation, testing, and life cycle management of groundbreaking healthcare products. Responsibilities
- Execute product functional testing throughout the development process, from concept feasibility to design verification and sustaining engineering.
- Operate mechanical laboratory equipment and conduct manual testing to evaluate product performance.
- Assist in experiment planning, execution, and data analysis, contributing valuable insights to project teams.
- Prepare and present technical reports and communicate results to project leadership.
- Provide technical support for laboratory instrumentation and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement in laboratory processes and documentation practices.
- Support onboarding and training activities for new associates.
- Ensure full compliance with BD policies, procedures, and relevant standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in product testing or development within a regulated industry (medical devices preferred).
- Proficient in technical testing, laboratory practices, and data analysis.
- Skilled with mechanical laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated adherence to quality standards and laboratory protocols.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with new product development in medical devices.
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- Continuous improvement mindset and prior involvement in process optimization.
