Our client, a leading Medical Device Manufacturing Company is looking for Mechanical Engineering
- Technician 1 for an initial 6-month contract in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

Position Type: Hourly Contract Position (W2 only)

• Education:
  
  5+ years experience, associate’s or BS in mechanical engineering.
• On site 5 days a week.
• Reporting to the Sr. Lab Manager, plans, performs and analyzes bench‑level engineering tests and/or research experiments designed to test feasibility of concepts or technologies for new product development.
• Assist, when relevant, in transfer of technologies into product development.
• Participate, when necessary, on product development core or project teams.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Superior communication skills, both written and oral.

• Independently plans and performs experiments that support new product or technology feasibility testing.
• Critically analyzes data generated from experiments; synthesizes resulting evaluations of product and technology feasibility, as well as ideas and concepts.
• Reports results of experiments to R&D management and peers; advises on product development implications and prepares technical reports when necessary.
• Maintains scientific equipment to support technical objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with SM product development objectives and regulatory guidelines.
• Interfaces with engineering to support experimental designs and performs testing of product produced experimentally as required.

The hourly rate for this position is between $33.00-$35.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
