Job Title – Data QA Tester (Azure)
About the Role
We are seeking a Data QA Tester with strong experience validating data pipelines and cloud native data platforms on Azure. The role focuses on testing workflows involving Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Spark SQL, and Azure SQL environments to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability.
In this role, you will:
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across Azure based data workflows.
- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations built using Azure Databricks, ADF, and Spark SQL.
- Conduct SQL based data validation for ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers.
- Execute API and backend testing for Azure Functions, APIM, and Data Factory activities.
- Log defects, maintain traceability, and support CI/CD integrated testing in Azure Dev Ops.

What you need to have to be considered
- 4–5 years of QA experience in Azure data platforms.
- Hands on testing experience with Azure Databricks, ADF, Spark SQL, and SQL validation queries.
- Experience with automated and manual test execution for APIs and data workflows.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Azure Dev Ops pipelines, and defect management tools.

Salary and Other Compensation
:

The annual salary for this position is between $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
