OverviewThe IT PMO Senior Project/Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple IT project assignments approved by the Demand and Portfolio Management teams ject/Program assignments may include IT infrastructure or applications focused projects or programs. This position will be handling multiple projects or programs with high visibility and will be reporting to and working very closely with the IT PMO Manager in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
The role involves directing IT projects and programs, establishing project governance, communication, monitoring and control, and ensuring alignment with defined IT compliance and quality regulatory procedures. The incumbent will review and confirm project objectives, identify, assess and manage risks and issues, and align leadership support. Agile ability and a strong business and management background are essential for assembling the appropriate teams to support changes and drive projects to fruition.
- Provide Project/Program Management for 2-5 IT projects or programs (Applications and Infrastructure). Number of projects or programs assigned will be based on size, duration and complexity.
- Manage projects or programs from inception to completion.
- Utilize processes and tools within the IT PMO to track project or program spend, including approved budgets, actuals and forecasts.
- Manage schedules, budget, resources and timelines surrounding multi‑million dollar projects or programs.
- Maintain senior leader or stakeholder alignment to IT projects or programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IT processes and procedures, and that projects or programs that include validated systems adhere to validation requirements.
- Align projects or programs with Release cycle schedules and understand Change Management.
- Maintain processes and tools within the IT PMO to track project or program status, using defined criteria to assess overall project health.
- Provide subject matter expertise to collaborate with IT L2/L3 leaders on processes and tools used for program portfolio management and project or program execution.
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate resources to ensure successful projects or programs.
- Develop, prioritize and track action items and issues, and document all necessary items as required.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, showing tasks, resources, dependencies and status throughout the life of the project or program, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Track and follow up on deliverables, escalating to leadership as required.
- Maintain risk register.
- Track project or program interdependencies.
- Present projects or program status to executive leadership and the CEO, partnering in the development of key communications to the organization as needed.
