Job DescriptionWe are seeking a results‑driven and strategic leader to serve as Director, Commercial Technology. The role owns the technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery of platforms and capabilities that support our global commercial organization.
Responsibilities- Own the global CRM platform strategy and roadmap.
- Drive CRM adoption, data quality, and process standardization.
- Enhance CRM with intelligent capabilities to reduce administrative burden.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to integrate CRM with marketing, service, ERP, and data platforms.
- Manage CRM governance, release management, and vendor relationships.
- Lead the technology strategy for Sales Planning platforms: territory design, quota allocation, capacity modeling and scenario planning.
- Modernize and automate territory management processes.
- Ensure Sales Planning integration with CRM, ICM, Finance, and HR.
- Digitize and automate core Sales Operations processes.
- Drive sales process standardization across regions and business units.
- Enable sales productivity tooling such as mobile CRM and activity capture.
- Partner with Sales Operations for real‑time pipeline visibility and forecasting.
- Own technology strategy and platform roadmap for Incentive Compensation Management (ICM).
- Modernize ICM to support complex plan designs at global scale.
- Ensure alignment between ICM, CRM, and Sales Planning.
- Enable seller self‑service visibility through earnings dashboards, plan documents, and dispute workflows.
- Drive platform rationalization toward a single enterprise‑standard ICM.
- Define and own technology strategy for Sales Intelligence.
- Embed intelligence into CRM to provide account insights, relationship mapping, buying signals, and competitive intelligence.
- Partner with Data, Insights & AI Product Management to surface AI insights in seller workflows.
- Drive adoption of performance analytics and coaching tools.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and partners to deliver outcomes.
- Manage platform vendors and implementation partners.
- Drive enterprise change management.
- Serve as executive‑facing owner for all technology strategies.
- Partner with Commercial leadership, Sales Operations, Finance, and HR to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
- Operate effectively in a matrixed global environment, influencing without authority.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial technology, CRM, sales operations technology, or revenue operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience leading CRM strategy and evolution, preferably with Salesforce.
- Expertise in Sales Planning and territory management technology.
- Experience with ICM platforms including complex plan designs.
- Understanding of sales intelligence and analytics.
- Experience designing and executing global rollouts with measurable milestones.
- Proven ability to partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and Commercial leadership.
- Medical device, Med Tech, life sciences, or regulated industry experience required.
- Experience applying lean and kaizen excellence principles and techniques (e.g., PSP, 5‑Whys).
- Experience with AI/ML‑enabled sales tools.
- Familiarity with Agile product management methodologies.
- Experience with sales process design and optimization.
- Knowledge of global regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to medical device commercial operations.
- Experience with master data management in multi‑ERP environments.
- Change management experience in global sales organizations.
