Procurement Manager Chemicals and Biologicals

The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for Chemicals and Biologicals categories. This role requires expertise combined with the ability to drive long term category strategy, proactive risk mitigation, responsible sourcing, and robust supplier relationship management and excellence. The role partners closely with BD global procurement, Integrated Supply Chain, and other teams to deliver sustainable value to the business.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management.
- Proven experience leading category strategies or sourcing initiatives with measurable impact on cost, service, quality, or supply continuity.
- Demonstrated capability in commercial negotiations and supplier contract management.
- Experience with proactive material and supplier risk mitigation, including supply assurance and scenario management.
- Experience managing Chemicals and or Biologicals categories, particularly in Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or Consumer Goods industries.
- Strong ability to work cross functionally with Planning, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
