Position:
Overseas Account Settlement Specialist

Location:

Franklin Park, IL

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overseas Account Settlement Specialist to join our team at Franklin Park. In this role, you will manage and reconcile accounts for international shipments, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of payments and invoices across multiple overseas markets.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Account Reconciliation: Handle the settlement and reconciliation of overseas accounts, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments related to international shipments.
  • Invoice Management: Process and verify invoices from overseas intercompany and agents, vendors, and customers, ensuring all charges are correctly captured and billed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with overseas accounts and payments.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and summaries on the status of overseas accounts, payments, and settlements.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues or discrepancies related to overseas payments and accounts.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with overseas Mainfreight branches and agents regarding account status, payment terms, and dispute resolution.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for more efficient overseas account settlement practices.

    • The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, or similar roles
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work as part of a team
