An exciting opportunity exists within our accounting team in Franklin Park, IL for a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career through our business and work alongside a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the general ledger
- Conduct month and year-end close processes
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, within given deadlines
- Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process
- Identify and implement process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures
- Collaborate with accounting and operation teams to meet company objectives
- Assist the financial controller as needed
- Verify accounts payable and receivable postings
- Communicate financial information to business leaders
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
