Engineering Supervisor - Electronic Repair Engineer III

JSG is hiring an Engineering Supervisor - Electronic Repair Engineer in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for supervising testing, troubleshooting, and repairing returned electronic products in accordance with OEM specifications. Bilingual English and Spanish would be a plus. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of electronics, experience using diagnostic tools, and hands‑on skills in PCB‑level repair, including both SMT and PTH soldering.

• Supervising test, troubleshoot and repair returned electronic products to meet OEM specifications.
• Follow detailed work instructions and perform precise PCB‑level repairs, including SMT and PTH soldering.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure repaired items meet performance standards.
• Operate standard test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
• Maintain accurate repair and inventory records in tracking systems.
• Contribute to and follow ISO 13485‑compliant processes and documentation.
• Assist in the creation and revision of work instructions and repair procedures.

• Associate degree or equivalent coursework in electronics, or military electronics training.
• 5+ years of hands‑on repair or related technical experience.
• Foundational knowledge of electronics and basic troubleshooting methods.
• Comfortable interpreting schematics and component‑level diagrams.
• Proficient in basic soldering, including surface‑mount and through‑hole techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality standards is a plus.

Pay rate: $30‑$50 DOE
