Overview

We are hiring Extrusion Operators for our Franklin Park location. Compensation

• Starting range from $21.32 up to $26.93 per hour based on experience

Hours 7 PM to 7 AM with every other weekend off.

Responsibilities

• Consistently and safely operate machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization
• Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine‑related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine
• Provide innovative solutions for production issues
• Support and guide less experienced personnel
• Complete appropriate end‑of‑shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
• Inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects
• Observe all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills and effective written and verbal communication

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator
• Experience and willingness to work 12‑hour rotating schedules, including every other weekend
• Ability to arrive for work before the shift and be prepared to get the day going on time
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting experience with Extrusion Machines
• Excellent communication skills, detailed record‑keeping per the prescribed frequency
• Analytical and math skills
• Ability to perform quality checks and understand production measurement tools
• Knowledge of product quality standards
• Comfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard‑nets, steel‑toed shoes/boots, ear protection and bump‑caps when required
• Manual dexterity
