Extrusion Team Lead – HIRING NOW – Franklin Park, IL.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Thermoforming Machine Operator who can lead a team. This role offers the opportunity to advance your career as a team lead in our extrusion department.

Compensation: $21.98 - $35.00 per hour plus shift differential.

Hours:

Night Shift: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety, and quality procedures and meet productivity standards.
• Perform tooling changes (set‑ups) on dies and restart the extruder efficiently and safely.
• Produce medium‑difficulty parts with minimal assistance, meeting quality specifications at or above specified rates.
• Develop speed and accuracy in machine tear‑down and set‑up.
• Assign employees to workstations at the start and throughout the shift.
• Check controls on equipment related to vacuums, heat, pressures, timing, water flow, etc.
• Ensure individual and team accountability, participation, and involvement.
• Administer job‑performance coaching, counseling, and feedback as appropriate.
• Provide timely performance feedback to managers.
• Complete required safety and production paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as required or directed.
• Responsible for extrusion machine and staff throughout the shift.
• Set up the extrusion machine by inputting information into a computer console, setting roll gaps to precise sizes, and ensuring quality control is production grade.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem‑solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand for an entire 12‑hour shift.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in a high‑temperature environment.
• May be required to obtain forklift certification.
