- Use the Student‑Centered Coaching Model to drive instructional improvement
- Deliver instructional coaching via coaching cycles
- Set coaching cycle goals with teachers based on priority standards data
- Co‑plan with coaching cycle teachers based on student evidence
- Co‑teach with teachers using the adopted framework for the content block, the adopted curriculum materials and resources, measures for student and teacher learning impact, components of Sheltered Instruction, integration of general education and special education services
- Provide professional development at the school and district level
- Provide non‑evaluative instructional feedback
- Support new teachers, including New Teacher PD sessions
- Provide leadership for instructional and academic teams through active PLC participation
- Build capacity in Grade Level Chairs for academic data preparation and analysis and understanding of the MTSS process
- Provide intervention guidance and training for instructional assistants
- Collaborate with other Instructional Coaches in the corporation
- Participate in selection of instructional resources and curriculum adoptions alongside the Director of Curriculum and corporation administration
- Collaborate with Special Education/ML staff to meet student needs
- Serve as the academic lead during MTSS team meetings, ensuring students receive appropriate Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
- Student Centered Coaching – 60%;
Professional Development and PLC – 25%; MTSS Support – 15%
- B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field, or a teaching credential
- Indiana certification in teaching in an appropriate subject area
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of the school, district, and state
