Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients seeking routine care or critical health insights. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and accurate patient experience while maintaining confidentiality and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures
  • Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Promote a safe and professional environment
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and maintain a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
  • Complete daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
  • Support assignments at doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and strong confidentiality practices
Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime
  • Ability to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice
  • Strong decision‑making skills based on established procedures
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
  • 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred
