The Purchasing Analyst plays a critical role in supply chain and procurement operations, ensuring the organization maintains a competitive advantage through efficient and strategic purchasing practices. This position serves as a key liaison between the organization and its vendors, driving sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and supplier performance.

Essential Duties
  • Analyze purchasing data, vendor performance, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and forecast inventory needs
  • Assist buyers and procurement teams by preparing purchase orders, reviewing requisitions, and managing supplier contracts.
  • Conduct cost analysis, validate pricing, and ensure compliance with contracts and procurement policies.
  • Monitor supplier obligations, evaluate performance, and negotiate favorable terms to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, QMS, federal and state regulations, and industry standards.
  • Assist with developing sourcing strategies, participate in annual price reviews, and support supply base optimization initiatives.
  • Analyze product profitability and sales data.
  • Prepare reports for management review.
  • Maintain supplier pricing and purchasing records.
  • Assist with supplier and purchasing activities.
  • Support inventory and spending analysis.
  • Act as backup for Buyer
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications Qualifications
  • High school or GED
  • College degree preferred
Training & Experience
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in manufacturing preferrable in Medical Device environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret procurement data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and tools for purchasing and contract management.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, cost analysis methods, and supply chain processes.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
