Summary
To drive continuous improvement, support development of production staff, and to reach the status of a World Class Manufacturing. Facilitate projects for continuous improvement process by developing, standardizing, and monitoring. Facilitate related activities and coordinating various consultations within the Production Department.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Define and develop continuous improvement activities to reach the status of a World Class Manufacturer.
- Develop and train associates to identify and implement opportunities to improve process effectiveness.
- Plan and facilitate training for other functions and departments who will support implementation of process improvement activities.
- Plan and facilitate operational training within the Production Department.
- Facilitate quality improvement initiatives, eliminating waste and the cost of poor performance in the Production department.
- Structure and track improvement projects with other departments to successful implementation.
- Maintain and update documentation of Kaizen projects and 5S status shared in the Production department.
- Share improvements with the Production Manager and Production Assistant Manager through related reports.
- Communicate clearly with Production to establish common understanding of improvements and agreement.
- Work according to the established principles and rules of continuous improvement concept and the safety regulations.
- Monitor production processes and perform unannounced internal 5S audits according to the 5S principles.
- Facilitate 5S and Kaizen group activities to increase awareness of 5S and continuous improvements.
- Develop quality processes as needed, review and create a report to ensure control plans and products meet their specifications.
- Follow all compliance quality, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
- Maintain an audit program to maintain standardized work across the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA Management.
- Experience with 5S principles.
- Experience with Kaizen principles.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Competences that are needed: flexibility, teamwork, quality awareness, results orientation, and customer orientation.
- Must have the ability to occasionally lift or push up to 40 lbs.
- Must have the ability to occasionally bend, stretch or reach.
