Shipping & Receiving Associate

General Purpose Of The Position

Loads, unloads, inspects and completes paperwork for all material coming into and out of the plant. Must be willing to work any shift.

• Shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate a fork truck to pull and stage outgoing material.
• Complete final inspection of all outgoing material to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Load outgoing material for transport.
• Communicate with both LTL and truckload carriers.
• Be able to drive spotter truck to support the movement of trailers.
• Complete shipping paperwork, forms, checklists, audits, and other paperwork as required.
• Participate in annual audit inventory of finished goods.
• Perform housekeeping duties necessary to insure a clean department.
• Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner; maintain a safe workplace by anticipating, recognizing and reporting any potential workplace hazards, by attending required safety training and by adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 1-year relevant experience.
• Attention to detail and basic computer skills required.
