Job Description
Blow Mold Machine Operator
Blow Mold Operator coworkers efficiently, effectively and safely operate the blow mold machines and other support equipment. Operators ensure high quality finished products are being produced and meeting production volumes for our customers, while working in a fast‑paced and quick‑changing environment.
Specific Responsibilities- Ensures all machines are kept running and producing quality bottles while ensuring the least amount of down‑time possible.
- Follows production schedules and communicates any changes to team members when necessary.
- Startup and shutdown of blow mold machine and supporting equipment.
- Organize daily cleaning and maintain good housekeeping in the area.
- Checks and monitors quality on all assigned machines by recognizing visual quality defects and making appropriate adjustments to correct them.
- Maintains all required documentation for quality checks and testing, process checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.
- Operates forklift safely and efficiently.
- Displays full understanding and knowledge of all related software and other equipment required for efficient production of quality product.
- Follows all established safety rules and guidelines, and communicates hazards and safety issues to co‑workers and supervisors.
- Properly uses all required personal protective equipment.
- Performs other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor.
- Ensures product safety by maintaining cleanliness and notifying any observations that may create a concern.
- Immediately reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents to supervisory staff.
- Takes reasonable care for self and others to prevent injury.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to efficiently and safely operate the blow mold machine and supporting equipment, adhere to production schedules, maintain quality standards, follow safety protocols, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively. Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree; or at least one year of manufacturing‑related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination.
Language SkillsAbility to read simple words and recognize differences between words and series of numbers, and to print and speak simple sentences.
Physical DemandsThe employee must manipulate products with both hands, both above and below shoulder height, stand on a solid surface for a minimum of twelve (12) hours, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, frequently lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds, and use a pallet jack to push/pull up to seven hundred (700) pounds throughout a 12‑hour shift. Specific vision abilities include close visual inspection of product.
The employee must perform job functions in temperatures above one hundred degrees during summer and around fifty degrees during winter.
