Supply Chain Ops Mgr-ARP

Position Overview

Responsible for managing customer service, production planning, materials planning, inventory control, logistics and warehousing functions in a highly complex, large plant. Utilizes ERP and planning systems to maintain control and accuracy of all goods inventories, procurement, planning, scheduling and deliveries. Key member of plant management team, promoting a culture of safety, efficient production, high quality and superior customer service.

• Communicate with customers regarding requirements, orders, complaints and concerns; and escalates complaints to the appropriate management when necessary.
• Oversee the plant production schedule, ensuring customer requirements are met and aligned with capacity plans and inventory targets.
• Manage logistics, including carrier partnership activities and incident notifications.
• Direct warehouse activities, implementing best practices for optimization and utilization.
• Manage raw material consumption; develop plans to maintain production needs and address any issues to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Establish and implement best practices related to production scheduling, inventory management, warehouse management and material control.
• Coordinate expediting and lead‑time reduction activities to achieve customer expectations and support industry best‑in‑class production lead times.
• Communicate potential product shortfalls to Corporate Supply Chain and assist in resolving shortages to meet customer demands.
• Work closely with Corporate Supply Chain to optimize capacity and inventory plans.
• Order raw materials—including resin, preforms, pallets, tier sheets and top frames—ensuring adherence to procurement contracts.
• Purchase other materials and services from outside contractors, such as forklift maintenance.
• Manage periodic physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform reconciliation of inventory to ERP system; account for raw and finished goods material variances.
• Generate inventory and production reports, measure performance daily and weekly, and recommend changes to improve throughput.
• Ensure adherence to plant safety and accident prevention policies, including cleanliness, safe work practices and accident investigation; ensure outside contractors comply with Amcor policies.
• Lead a team of direct reports; responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management.
• Overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivate an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.
• Five years of experience in materials or operations in a manufacturing environment, preferably with plastic injection, blow molding or packaging.
• Functional certification such as APICS or CSCMP is preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and reporting tools.
• Understanding of raw materials, production processes, costs and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
• Knowledge of transportation modes (air, rail, sea, road) and associated costs.
