Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler to join our team. This vital role is responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our facility, including raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, ensuring smooth production and shipping operations.

Material Handler Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $ 23.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • First Shift (Sunday through Saturday from 06:30am to 06:30pm)
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and other manual/automatic dock equipment safely and efficiently for various tasks.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine lift truck battery maintenance, including charging, changing, and filling as needed.
  • Transport finished goods from production lines to designated warehouse staging areas.
  • Move raw materials from warehouse storage to production lines as required.
  • Operate large material wrapping equipment, including the palletizer.
  • Verify, identify, and meticulously inspect a wide variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods for quality and accuracy.
  • Utilize barcode scanners and/or computer systems to accurately complete inventory transactions.
  • Prepare and/or assemble necessary shipping documents.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues such as inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling problems.
  • Ensure the quality of products by verifying no damaged goods are shipped and no damaged raw materials are accepted.

Material Handler

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for long periods throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work takes place in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in visual inspection techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
