Production Manager
Position Overview: This position is responsible for the successful operation of CNC Machining operations for one shift. The CNC Technician sets up and maintains CNC machining equipment, presets tooling, supports maintenance, and occasionally assists with production operations. - Set up, operate, and perform quality checks on CNC lathes, mills, robo-drills, grinders and honing machines
- Presets tools for all of production manufacturing
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure quality standards are met.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments during the machining process.
- Maintain tooling and equipment is in optimal working condition, including trouble shooting, routine maintenance and PM activities.
- Collaborate with Team Leader to implement lean manufacturing practices and improve production efficiency.
- Supports crib inventory accuracy of all tooling and communicating reorder needs to procurement
- Prioritizes 5S methodologies in preparing tool setting areas and tool carts
- Occasionally supports running of production machines
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of proven experience setting up and running CNC machines (lathes, mills, and grinders)
- Associate's degree or technical training in machining preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient using calipers, micrometers, and other precision inspection tools
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of TPS principles is a plus.
- Driven by kaizen and continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
