Girl Scouts of Central Indiana serves 45 Indiana counties, nearly more than 16,000 Girl Scouts and 10,000 adult volunteers. We are the proud facilitators of Girl Scout camp at five Indiana locations, conveners of thousands of Girl Scout programs with nearly 600 community partners and serve thousands more community members each year at our STEM Center of Excellence and Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center.

What You Will Do:

The Community Growth & Support Manager – Growth Focus serves as the frontline driver of membership growth and community presence within an assigned geographic territory. This role is responsible for recruiting new girls/members, launching new troops or groups, building local partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with existing volunteers and troops to ensure continued engagement and success.

Community Growth & Support Managers are the face of the organization at the local level. Their work directly expands access, builds trust, and ensures more girls and families can participate and thrive through strong local programs and leadership.

How You Will Lead:

New Member & Girl Recruitment

  • Execute local recruitment strategies to attract new girls and families within the assigned territory.
  • Represent the organization at schools, community events, open houses, and recruitment activities.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to support regional and grassroots outreach efforts.

Troop / Group Launch & Expansion

  • Lead the formation and launch of new troops or groups, including identifying opportunities and matching leaders with participants.
  • Support new troop startups through onboarding, early-stage guidance, and coordination with internal teams.
  • Ensure new troops are set up for success with clear processes, resources, and connections.

Community Outreach & Local Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and local businesses.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that increase visibility and access to potential members.
  • Serve as a trusted local representative and ambassador for the organization.

Active Field Presence

  • Maintain a visible and engaged presence within the assigned territory.
  • Attend community meetings, events, and gatherings to strengthen awareness and relationships.
  • Stay informed about local demographics, schools, and community trends that impact growth.

Volunteer & Troop Support

  • Provide ongoing support to existing volunteers and troops, ensuring they feel connected and supported.
  • Answer questions, troubleshoot challenges, and connect volunteers to appropriate resources.
  • Partner with retention and experience teams to identify risks, celebrate successes, and encourage continued involvement.
