Med-Surg RN – 34 Beds Scheduling: 12-hr shifts (6a–6:30p / 6p–6:30a) | No blocked scheduling | Self-scheduling (based on census/staffing) Ratios:
Days 1:5 | Nights 1:6 Weekend: 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks (rotation) Holiday:

Certifications:

BLS, NIHSS Experience

Required:

MS/PCU/Tele or CCU experience No drip titration required Heparin per protocol Common Diagnoses: PNA, COPD, CHF, ortho (shoulders/hips/knees), appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, pancreatitis Support/Equipment:
Charge RN (both shifts), Supervisor (nights) PCTs 1:12 max ratio (days & nights) Chronic BiPAP/CPAP Remote telemetry (monitor tech in CCU; MS RNs do not interpret) Scrubs:
Navy Blue Orientation: 1 clinical education shift + 2 unit shifts with preceptor
