+ Perform testing on quality assurance runs, experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders, documenting results accurately and promptly.

+ Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, lubricants, and related chemical solutions used in the coating and testing processes.

+ Conduct inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

+ Perform a range of laboratory tests of sufficient complexity that meticulous attention to detail is required at all times.

+ Read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions and test methods; carry out testing procedures; enter data; and prepare reports, charts, or other documentation to communicate test results.

+ Operate chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments safely and correctly to obtain reliable data.

+ Support technicians, engineers, and management in analyzing test results, identifying root causes of issues, and implementing corrective actions.

+ Use computer programs, quality systems, and laboratory tools to record, manage, and analyze data, maintaining a strong focus on the quality management system.

+ Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are consistently met.

+ Enter records and write up data for company reports, maintaining accurate and organized documentation.

+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to share information, coordinate work, and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships.

+

Experience with quality control, quality assurance, and QC documentation practices.

+ Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques, including titration and related analytical methods.

+ Experience working within cross-functional teams across engineering and scientific departments.

+ Interest in developing deeper expertise in ISO, QS, TS, and GMP quality frameworks.

+ Motivation to learn from experienced laboratory professionals and assume greater responsibility over time.

+ Ability to maintain positive working relationships within a small, cohesive laboratory team.

Work Environment

This position is on 3rd shift, working a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., with training initially provided on 1st shift Monday through Friday. The work takes place in a magnet wire testing laboratory within a larger manufacturing operation, using chemical testing equipment, measuring instruments, and computer-based quality systems. The environment offers hands-on training and exposure to multiple quality frameworks, including ISO, QS, TS, and GMP.

Team members collaborate across engineering and scientific groups, with opportunities to grow into roles at multiple plants in the Fort Wayne area.
