Position: Assistant Manager, Flex - Day Shift (local travel, full time)

Compensation

Base hourly wage: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience). Additional $1.00 per hour flex premium for travel within area stores.

Hours & Availability

Full-time, day shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm. Weekday and weekend availability required.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you would be actively coached and trained to become a Store Manager. This position helps mentor and train your less experienced associates and demonstrates effective work habits.

Travelling to stores within a defined territory to perform job duties.

Function as the “Manager on Duty” in the absence of, or in collaboration with the Store Manager, assuring proper staffing and prioritization of work needing completion.

Responsibilities
  • Function as the “Manager on Duty” for the location, assuring proper staffing and prioritization of work needing completion.
  • Demonstrate a high level of merchandising skills across all categories, both shelf and off-shelf displays.
  • Maintain the presentation and on-shelf availability of dry grocery products represented by Serv-U-Success.
  • Assess current store status quickly, including shelf condition, holes, signage, and assist in deploying resources.
  • Assist in scheduling resources to support daily requirements and maintain flexibility within planned budgets.
  • Help maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient back-room, performing receipt, put-away, and issue of product and service materials, as well as determining accurate balance on hand.
  • May be assigned other responsibilities and projects.
Additional Requirements
  • Reliable and regular attendance at the stores; work cannot be performed remotely.
  • Must be able to work at multiple store locations within a work week.
  • May be asked to travel to a different location(s) without delay.
  • Read, understand, and follow all Serv-U-Success policies and standard operating procedures as outlined in the electronic employee handbook and visual work instructions.
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • May be assigned other responsibilities and projects as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; additional education is a plus.
  • 2-5 years in a service industry, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Results-oriented, organized, and methodical; enjoys learning and change.
  • Utilizes technology – primarily personal devices; a weekly phone stipend is provided.
  • Open availability; able to work both weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Depending on the position, may require a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a department of motor vehicles check.
