Seasonal Entry-Level Lighting Installer

Client Information: A locally owned lighting and electrical company in Franklin, Indiana, specializing in custom outdoor lighting, architectural illumination, and seasonal installations that make homes and businesses shine.

Position Summary:

We are hiring Seasonal Entry-Level Lighting Installers. This role involves helping with the installation, maintenance, and removal of lighting systems for residential and commercial clients, including landscape, event, and seasonal lighting. It's a great fit for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, collaborating with a team, and learning trade skills. No prior electrical or lighting experience is required—we provide full training.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a Crew Lead to install lighting safely and efficiently.
  • Climb ladders, work on roofs, and handle basic tools (drills, extension cords, clips, etc.).
  • Assist with job site setup, light installation, troubleshooting, and cleanup.
  • Inspect and test lighting systems to ensure proper function and appearance.
  • Help with seasonal tasks, installing lights before the holidays and removing them afterward.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and safely store tools and materials.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients and team members.
  • Learn about outdoor lighting systems, electrical basics, and installation best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability—you show up ready to work.
  • Comfortable with heights, ladders, and roof work (safety is our top priority).
  • Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Detail-oriented: you notice if one light is out or cords are showing.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and respect for clients' property.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work sites.
  • Basic knowledge of tools or light construction is helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Test.

Hours:

M-F 7:30am to 4:30pm. Some overtime occasionally. Starting hourly wage: $17.00 to $20.00 based on experience.
