Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site HVAC Service Technician role based in Franklin, IN. The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential heating and cooling systems, performing routine maintenance, and completing preventive maintenance services to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Daily tasks include responding to service calls, troubleshooting equipment issues, explaining findings and options to customers, and documenting work performed in a clear and accurate manner.
The role also involves maintaining company tools and vehicles, following safety protocols, and collaborating with team members and office staff to schedule and complete work effectively. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, professionalism, and respectful communication with homeowners is essential.

- Ability to maintain a strong focus on Customer Satisfaction, including clear communication and professional conduct in residential settings.
- Competency in building repair/upgrade options and sales
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting HVAC systems to identify issues and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and standards, with an active EPA certification or the ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe.
- Hands‑on experience with Maintenance & Repair of residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
- Skill in performing Preventive Maintenance to improve system performance, extend equipment life, and reduce future service issues.
- Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles related to HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Comfort working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including lifting, bending, and using ladders and tools.
- Prior experience as an HVAC technician or graduation from an HVAC training program, trade school, or apprenticeship is preferred.
