Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our Plant Operations Team. Located in Franklin, Indiana, Compass Park is a beautiful 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County, just minutes from Indianapolis. Our campus is known for its scenic landscape, mature trees, winding footpaths, and a vibrant atmosphere throughout all seasons.

Position Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the campus. This role supports the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain HVAC systems in Independent Living apartments and campus buildings, including seasonal filter changes and air handler upkeep
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, coil cleaning, and equipment repairs
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner and carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
  • Follow and maintain required safety training, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures
  • Assist with snow removal as needed
  • Communicate supply needs to the Maintenance Director to ensure efficient workflow
  • Report equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or hazardous conditions promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as moving equipment, assisting with remodeling projects, and setting up or breaking down tables and chairs for events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • HVAC Certification with EPA 608 Technician Certification required
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance, including electrical and plumbing systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
