Job Description
As an Entry Level Detailer, you will be responsible for creating 3D drawings of custom-engineered metal buildings as part of a complete design solution. Safety is a top priority, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. You will collaborate directly with Project Coordinators, Design Engineers, and other team members to produce initial drawings required by customers and end-users.
Responsibilities- Accurately create drawings to meet local building permitting requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawings for customer scope review and approval prior to production detailing and fabrication.
- Develop drawings of specific conditions for customer confirmation prior to production detailing and fabrication.
- Manage drawing schedules to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD software.
- Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
- Experience in detailing and drafting.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Accredited training, certification, or professional experience operating CAD software.
- Minimum Associate’s degree or two-year vocational school certification with focus in Architecture, Drafting, Construction Management, or Engineering Technology.
- Prior metal building drawings/detailing experience.
The work takes place primarily in an office environment, with 80-85% of the time spent detailing at a desk. The remaining 20% involves conducting safety/environmental walks and pursuing improvement in other areas of interest. The position includes benefits such as a yearly bonus, potential for up to two bonuses in one calendar year, 401K contributions, and up to a 9% pay raise after every 6 months.
The role is Monday-Friday in-office, with potential for one remote day per week after a year based on performance. Paid time off includes 1 week after 6 months, 3 weeks after a year, 10 paid holidays after 90 days, and 1 personal day after 90 days.
Permanent position based out of Franklin, KY.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47,320.00 per year. Additional compensation includes a yearly bonus, potential up to two bonuses in one calendar year, a 401K plan with up to a 9% pay raise after every 6 months, and a detailed paid time off schedule.
