We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Programmer / Quality Technician to support quality assurance and inspection activities within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing and executing CMM inspection programs, performing dimensional inspections, supporting quality systems, and ensuring products meet customer and internal specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge, hands-on inspection experience, and the ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, and customer-facing functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection programs.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and conventional measuring instruments.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformity.
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Height Gages
  • Hardness Testers
  • Additional inspection and measurement tools as required
  • Generate and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
  • Investigate nonconforming materials and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and assist with audit preparation activities.
  • Update and maintain work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality records.
  • Assist with monthly quality reporting and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to address quality concerns and provide technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection environment.
  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Experience with quality documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, TS 16949, or similar quality management systems.
  • Internal or external audit experience.
  • Experience supporting corrective action processes, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SPC, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other quality tools.
  • Customer-facing quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform detailed inspection work requiring visual acuity and attention to detail.
Schedule

This position may require occasional overtime and schedule flexibility based on production and customer requirements.
