Warehouse Shipping

Overview

Responsible for day-to-day warehouse activity and requirements within the warehouse. Daily shipping and receiving responsibilities including forklift, barcode scanning, and housekeeping. Effective ongoing verbal and written communication with management and co-workers. Works closely with the Quality and Customer Service departments for suspect material product/shipments. Complies with Health & Safety regulations, not to endanger themselves and others with careless driving. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

• Maintain day-to-day warehouse activity and requirements.
• Perform daily shipping and receiving responsibilities, including forklift operation, barcode scanning, and housekeeping.
• Communicate effectively with management and co-workers (verbal and written).
• Collaborate with Quality and Customer Service to handle suspect material products or shipments.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and avoid actions that could endanger self or others.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

• Good communication and motivation skills.
• Good personal safety awareness, attendance, and job performance record.
• Ability to deliver both quality and quantity of work.
• Knowledge of plant procedures and equipment use.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and correct errors, initiate work activities, assume responsibility, complete work assignments, meet schedules, follow policies/procedures, and anticipate needs.
• Builds trust by respecting the ideas and contributions of everyone.
• 1 year yard dog trailer driving experience.
• 3 years manufacturing/warehouse experience in a plastics process facility.
• Dependable with a good attendance record.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to load and unload materials or merchandise.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Willing/able to drive yard dog/spotter truck.
