Bayou Bend Health System is a general medical and surgical hospital with 22 beds. The hospital offers in-patient and out-patient surgical services, emergency medicine, 4 bed centrally monitored Intensive Care Unit (ICU), maternity and newborn nursery services, respiratory, radiology, laboratory, and rehabilitation, speech, and nutritional therapies.

Shift Needs:
Need MD who will work days/nights and can cover 10 to 15 shifts per month.
** 35 minimum block.
24 hour MD coverage
Shift Times: 7a 7p, 7p to 7a
No 24s allowed
7 ED beds
T System EV EMR
Specialty backup (on call) OB/GYN, Cardiology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics
Annual Volume 12,130
Average Daily Encounters 32/day
Admits 3%
EMS Arrival 9.5%
Transfers 4.7%
MD Requirements:
BC/BE EM IM FP
2 years ER experience
ATLS, ACLS, PALS
Interview with Medical Director & Hospital Admin
File requirements:
Active State Medical License, CDS, & DEA (with LA address), CME past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, copies of education & training diplomas, SS Card, Driver's license, TB, Color Photo, Interview w/ Medical Director & Admin
Must enroll in LPF for 6 months or duration of assignment not shift by shift
