General Description:

Provide instructional guidance and support to teachers and students in a learning environment that will enable students to master the concepts and skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity. Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate subject matter/instructional model knowledge

* Demonstrate effective student engagement strategies

* Develop inclusive classroom routines and practices

* Contribute to the development of course scope and sequence

* Design instruction that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students

* Remain informed of/apply research and trends in content and teaching

* Use data to inform instruction

* Provide students with regular feedback

* Collaborate with colleagues to examine data and plan curriculum and instruction to ensure equitable learning experiences

* Other related duties as assigned by building administrators

Qualifications

Required:

* Appropriate licensure from the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators

* Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability

* Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI)

Qualifications Preferred:

* Excellent writing and communication skills required

* Experience in public school setting

* Able to take initiative and work independently

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators

* Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability
