Position Overview
Dean College's Dean R. Sander ’47 School of Business is looking for a dynamic, experienced, student‑centered adjunct faculty to teach in‑person business courses during the Fall 2026 semester. The role focuses on experiential learning and active engagement in the classroom, creating a compelling and professional learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
We are recruiting for three courses: BUS‑123 Introduction to Business, BUS‑151 Design Thinking, and BUS‑495 Business Policy and Strategic Management. These 3‑credit classes meet 2.5 hours per week. Adjunct pay is $3,300 per section.
Adjuncts are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach. All faculty must use the learning management system Canvas at a minimum level established by the College and be able to incorporate digital tools into instruction.

- BUS‑123:
Introduction to Business | TTH 9:30‑10:45 am - BUS‑151:
Design Thinking | TTH 12:30‑1:45 pm - BUS‑495:
Business Policy and Strategic Management | MW 12:30‑1:45 pm
- Master's degree in business or a related field is required;
PhD preferred. - Experience teaching at the college level in person is required; experience in the business industry or teaching within the business field is preferred.
- Strong computer skills are required. Experience using technologies and strategies to enhance pedagogy is required.
- Ability and willingness to be responsive and supportive to students through college online resources and digital tools is required.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Canvas, the College learning management system, and classroom media is required.
- Expertise in learner‑centered teaching is required. Experience working effectively with a culturally diverse student body with a variety of learning styles is required.
