Location: Franklin Middle School
Reports to: Building Principal and Department Head
Salary: As per FEA Teacher Contract
This position qualifies for town benefits, including Health Insurance.
Provide instructional guidance and support to teachers and students in a learning environment that will enable students to master the concepts and skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrate subject matter/instructional model knowledge
- Demonstrate effective student engagement strategies
- Develop inclusive classroom routines and practices
- Contribute to the development of course scope and sequence
- Design instruction that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students
- Remain informed of/apply research and trends in content and teaching
- Use data to inform instruction
- Provide students with regular feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to examine data and plan curriculum and instruction to ensure equitable learning experiences
- Other related duties as assigned by building administrators
- Appropriate licensure from the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability
- Previous classroom or special education teacher experience preferred
- Excellent writing and communication skills required
- Experience in public school setting
- Able to take initiative and work independently

- Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI)
