Job DescriptionThe role of the Math Interventionist is to provide targeted math intervention to students to support their growth in foundational math and problem solving skills. The Math Interventionist will plan and teach specialized lessons for small groups and individual students. S/he will also collect and analyze data to determine appropriate goals for students, develop and implement lessons targeted at these goals and present at RTI meetings with grade-level teams to develop plan for service.
** This is a 0.6 FTE, or 3 day per week, position. Salaries listed are for full-time positions and would be pro-rated accordingly for part-time **

Job Requirements- - Master’s degree; focus in math strongly preferred
- - Appropriate teaching certification
- - 3 years of teaching experience preferred
- - Strong math background
- - Experience using online resources and other technologies to enhance learning
- - Ability to create and execute rigorous lessons that push students toward achieving mastery of content and skills
- - Utilize data and reflection to drive instruction, plan for supports and interventions, and improve lessons
- - Provide varied and differentiated instruction to meet students where they are and to challenge and motivate them
- - Work collaboratively with school leadership and special education faculty and staff to ensure that all students’ needs are met
- - Ability to create a positive, warm, and achievement-oriented environment based on high expectations that engages, encourages and motivates students
- - Effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
