Senior Mechanical Engineer (Direct Hire) – Franklin, MA
Join a dynamic engineering team leading the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for cutting-edge defense and commercial applications. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to influence full product lifecycle development—from concept and prototyping to production and sustainment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical engineering design, integration, and product development initiatives
- Serve as technical authority across multiple programs
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, including the transition from prototype to production
- Conduct system-level analysis (tolerance studies, manufacturability, trade-offs)
- Drive engineering change management, configuration control, and design reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
- Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience (12+ preferred)
- Strong background in product lifecycle development and technical leadership
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (PTC Creo and/or Solid Works)
- Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and detailed technical drawings
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance (active Secret clearance required)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Target salary: $110K–$180K+ (flexible based on experience)
