Senior Engineer, Mechanical Key Responsibilities

Serve as the mechanical engineering technical authority across multiple programs and technology initiatives. Provide hands‑on leadership for mechanical design, integration, and product support activities across pre‑production, production, and sustainment programs. Oversee the complete product lifecycle. Establish and mature engineering processes, design methodologies, and execution frameworks where formal infrastructure may not yet exist. Participate in and lead engineering change activities, configuration management processes, and design reviews.

Perform and oversee system‑level analyses, including tolerance analysis, manufacturability assessments, and design trade studies. Interface with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to identify technical solutions, manage risk, and support program execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of mechanical engineering leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technical efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Experience transitioning projects from prototype development to production environments.
• Experience with engineering change management and configuration control processes on complex development programs.
• Demonstrated ability to create structure, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities, technologies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated mindset with a demonstrated ability to build capability and deliver results in environments where processes, infrastructure, and support systems are still maturing.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools, including PTC Creo and/or Solid Works.
• Knowledge of design techniques, engineering analyses, and the development of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Experience creating detailed drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

• Twelve (12) + years of relevant engineering and technical leadership experience.
• Experience supporting proposal development, technology roadmaps, and business growth initiatives.
• Active U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

Pay: $160,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
